What it means to be part of the Kin Youth - Youth Supporting Youth
Building the stepping stones of Listowel’s future generations.
The Kin Youth club is made up of aspiring students, from grades six to nine wanting to work together in a social environment to help the community. The first youth group of its kind in North Perth, members are part of building a legacy for future generations. With our focus on youth, all our initiatives involve organizing, volunteering, and fundraising for the youth of today.
The Kin Youth Club is special as it puts our young members at the forefront. From choosing causes to focus on to the types of events hosted, everything is decided collaboratively by the Kin Youth.
Under the leadership of elementary school teachers, Tyler Schaefer and Jill Fowler, the Kin Youth members will grow together while volunteering and fundraising for initiatives that support youth in our community and nationally. But it’s not all serious business, members are encouraged to make friendships and have fun while sharing interests and like-minded values.
What to expect as a Kin Youth member
Engaging in activities, food, and helping others.
Meetings are held on the 1st and 2nd Tuesday of every month from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Members get to enjoy pizza, provided by their sponsor, Don Hamilton Real Estate.
Every meeting is supervised by two Kinsmen or Kinette leaders to guide and support the members. These leaders have undergone a screening process to ensure your children’s safety.
Safety and Care is our number one priority.
Kin Youth members are expected to behave as they would in school, in a respectful manner that follows the school code of conduct. We encourage members to attend as many meetings as they can and kindly ask to be informed when they are not able to attend. This helps us to ensure the utmost safety of our community youth is met at all times.

The Kin Youth is a youth-driven group whose voices are part of setting the direction in the short and long term within our community of North Perth and beyond. That means they take the lead in deciding what events they host and what causes they will support.
