A historical landmark for your next event

From an 1871 train station to a community hub.

The Kin Station is a unique and historic rental space nested along the Kinsmen walking trail. Originally built by the Wellington, Grey and Bruce Railway in 1871, the passenger and cargo train station would later be absorbed by the Grand Trunk Railroad, then, Canadian National Railway (CNR).

In 1974-75, the Kinsmen Club of Listowel purchased the property to act as their club headquarters and a space for hosting their community events. It is estimated that 3,600 manhours went into renovating the Kin Station at that time!

The station was once again renovated in 2018 to help bring it to today’s standards for use and safety while maintaining its original charm from the 19th Century. Today, the Kin Station is a community hub for the Kinsmen, Kinette, and Kin Youth clubs, as well as a beautiful, historical venue for local events.
